How long do the cold plates last? - Usually 6-8 hours. The outside temperature, type of product you have (ice cream cups, frozen pops, cold desserts, drinks), and time the hatch lid remains open will influence how long they will last.
My cold plates are not freezing solid. What do I do? - The cold plates should be frozen at -4 to -10°F for 24-48 hours the first time. Make sure there is enough space in between the cold plates for cold air to circulate. They should be frozen solid before the first use and frozen for 12 hours in between uses.
Can I purchase separate cold plates? - Yes. Each cold plate is $60 + shipping. Handle with care! The cold plates will crack if dropped.
Can I use ice or dry ice? - Yes. You can add dry ice for hotter days as a buffer or use ice for drinks if you prefer.
How large is the cooler and how many cans fit inside? - The cooler is 23"L x 15"W x 18"H without the cold plates, approximately 105 qts.
